Eight Wonderful Years!

I have been telling myself for the longest time now that I was going to set up a blog to document all the exciting or not so exciting things that are going on in my life. Well I guess today is as good as any.

Today is a very special day for me. Eight years ago to this very day my husband and I started dating. In all 8 years together we have never broken up- not even once. Not to say that it has always been perfect, but I can't picture it being much better than it was. There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful that he is apart of my life. Not to sound cheesy, but he is my soul mate and I can't imagine living with out him! So tonight like every year on this day we will probably go to dinner to celebrate the beginning of our journey together.

Other than that my day was rather uneventful. I did a little bit of homework, prepared a menu for the week, made a grocery list, and most importantly went back to my old work to visit my students! It is the first time I have been back since I left and it made me realize just how much those kids mean to me! When I walked in they were all completely engrossed in their work and didn't even know I had walked in the room, until one little girl looked up and yelled out, "Look who it is everyone!" At that moment everyone stopped what they were doing and ran over and gave me a huge group hug! They asked me repeatedly to please stay- a couple asked me to please stay forever. It is times like that I am sad that I am no longer working there, but I know that I am doing the right thing for me and my family by going back to school! At some point I was going to have to tell them goodbye, but it is still never easy! I miss them and love them all greatly!

Thrilled to have a way to stay in touch with everyone. Can't wait for Christina to set her site up.

Had a terrible time trying to make a comment so hope this recognizes me.

When I retired I saw a little guy in the store and he came running up to me and asked me if I used to be Mrs. Wilson. I told him I did so he wanted to know who I was now. I told him Grandma Julie and he thought for a minute and said, well, that sounds nice too.

Your picture is glamorous.
It is such a nice feeling when you get hugs from little ones.
